Fix the Pain of Emptiness in Your Life

Have you ever felt emptiness, mysterious void syndrome, hopelessness, helplessness, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, poverty, troubled relationships, or lack of relationships, a sense of despair, unhappiness, lack of joy? I know what you feel because I felt that way. I found that many people feel this way, some more than others, what is it like for you? I found that all these apparently different problems have one thing in common. Solve the common cause, and you solve all other problems that stem from the common root. And don’t worry, I am not talking about some sort of magical potion or snake oil. I am Dr. Flavio Ballerini, I wouldn’t do that to you. So, let me ask you: what do we typically do when we try to fix this mysterious void syndrome, this nagging sensation that our lives are not complete no matter what we have or do? The short answer is that we alternate between working hard to try to change circumstances outside of ourselves and distracting ourselves. We go about trying to change our world in different ways. Some people are more nomadic, in a sense, they move around, change jobs, change spouses, experience a constant cycle of feast and famine but never quite enjoy true prosperity. Other people prefer not to experience so much change, but we constantly work on changing others, never enjoying anyone or anything, because we are always looking for what to change outside of ourselves. Then you find people who are constantly at war; there is always an enemy to be defeated. The enemy is outside of us… if only I can defeat the enemy, my life would be awesome. The enemy can be the boss, the spouse, the system, the matrix, and even god. So, we experience a mysterious sense of emptiness and develop a strategy to heal that pain by changing circumstances outside of ourselves. That is exhausting, particularly because it has not worked so well, right? That is why, the more we try to change the world outside of us, the more rest, relaxation and entertainment we need. The various addictions we experience numb the mind. Although these distractions feel good temporarily, indulging them only exacerbates the original problem. My life’s work has been to help people overcome this mysterious void and emptiness, perhaps because I felt that way most of my life. But I don’t want you to suffer any longer, particularly because the solution to the problem is simple, once you see it. Thank you and Blessings, Dr. Flavio
